In this SPICE webinar we explore the latest Reuse guidelines to give key insights on the environmental impact of specific packaging reuse options studied in this guidance, and how results were used to identify eco-design levers and best practices recommendations for cosmetic companies. Three illustrative case studies developed by the SPICE initiative will be discussed: a face cream, a fragrance and a shampoo.

SPICE Reuse Guidelines
The SPICE Reuse guidelines were developed to provide insights on the environmental impact on several specific packaging reuse options, and to provide eco-design levers and best practices recommended for cosmetics companies.
It is a new step to better assess reuse packaging options in SPICE approaches, and is based on the current state of art at the time of its publication in January 2025.
